Astrales was aged for 20 months in 30% new French and American oak. It gives up a slightly reticent perfume of earthy minerals, spice box, lavender, licorice, espresso, and blackberry. Dense but with a racy personality and a sense of elegance, it possesses some underlying structure that should permit a graceful evolution. This lengthy effort should drink for 20 years.
