Grape Varietal: Syrah

Our Smoking Loon Syrah has a dense, juicy nose of wild strawberry and raspberry aromatics with hints of baking spices. On the palate, reduced berry compote flavors are bold and mouth-filling, contrasted by rich brown sugar notes from French oak aging. Cinnamon and nutmeg nuances emerge on the mid-palate with silky tannins. The finish is very long, with a trace of lingering vanilla and blackberry. With concentrated flavors usually reserved for much heavier wines, this medium-bodied Syrah has a subtle, mouth-watering tartness that makes this an extremely food-friendly, balanced wine.
